Frequently Asked questions

  • Ty Hen Caravan Site is located on the banks of Llyn Maelog in Rhosneigr, South West Angelsey. We are a 10 minute walk from Rhosneigr village.

  • We are so fortunate to have 3 beaches within an easy walk of the site. These are - Traeth Cymyran, Traeth Crigyll, and Traeth Llydan. The closest - Traeth Crigyll, Rhosneigr’s main beach - being a 10 minute walk, and the furthest - Traeth Llydan - being a 20 minute walk. There are also another 3 beaches - Porth Tyn Tywyn, Porth Nobla and Porth Trecastell - within a 10 minute drive from the caravan site.

  • You can’t get much closer to beautiful countryside walks than at Ty Hen! We have public footpaths within our boundary that connect to walks around Maelog Lake and the Wales Coastal Path. For more information on public footpaths on Anglesey, click here to see an interactive map.

  • Given that we’re so close to the beach, we have lots of customers asking us this question. The answer is that yes, we love having well behaved dogs to stay! We ask that you keep them under close control at all times, especially as there is a lot of livestock in the surrounding area, and that you pick up after them.   • We pride ourselves on the fact that our customers choose our site because of the peace and tranquility it offers. We don’t have a club house or bar, but there are many restaurants in Rhosneigr village, which is just a 10 minute walk from the site.

  • Yes! Our customers love our heated open air swimming pool, which is open on weekends from May - September.

  • Our static caravans are owner occupied, we don’t rent them out or offer any self-catering options. However we do have some pitches available for touring caravans, motorhomes or tents. Click here for more information on our nightly pitches or get in touch to chat about a seasonal pitch.

  • Most of our touring pitches are booked on a seasonal basis, however we do offer some nightly pitches for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents. These pitches offer electric hookups and water. We have a toilet block which offers guests the use of hot showers at no additional cost. The washing up facilities are also housed in this block.

  • Our season for static caravan owners runs from the 1st of March until the 31st of January each year. For seasonal touring pitches, we are open from the 22nd of March until the 15th of September during the 2024 season.
